Superintendent's Office

The Superintendent's Office oversees the daily operations and long-range planning for our school district. Serving as the point of contact for district matters, supporting school principals, staff and families, our office also works with our school board and oversees fiscal operations. The Superintendent's office is grateful to have a positive budget, increasing enrollment and plans to build a comprehensive arts program for the students we serve.

Michael Kellison became the Superintendent of the Bellevue Union School District in July 2022. Prior to this role, he served as the BUSD Director of Human Resources and has over 25 years of experience in education. From 2017 to 2021, he and his family lived overseas, where he was the Associate Superintendent at the American Community School in Amman, Jordan. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2017, Michael was the Superintendent of the Oak Grove Union School District.  Additionally, Michael has 15 years of experience as a site principal in Sonoma and Marin counties. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Accounting from Claremont McKenna College and a Master’s Degree in Education from Claremont Graduate University.

Moriah Hart officially serves our District as Executive Assistant/Student Data Manager (meeting quarterly state and federal data reporting requirements), but she is also the webmaster for the district, manages our social media presence, and advocates for visual & performing arts in our schools as a member of the Sonoma County Arts Education Alliance (and has played a key role several district wide arts grants). Prior to joining our District in 2013 she was Executive Assistant/Analyst to the Dean in the UCSF Vice Dean's Office. She has a BA from UC Berkeley, an MA from the University of Oregon, and recently added a certificate in Social Media Marketing. Moriah speaks Russian, basic Romanian and Spanish (which has gotten better since joining Bellevue!), and she has started learning French.
