Carolina Castro, Principal
I am a native Californian and have been an educator for 23 years. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science, Master’s Degree in Special Education, CA Single Subject Credential, Learning Handicapped, Resource Specialist, CLAD and Administrative credentials.
Before joining the Bellevue School District, I spent 15 years as a Resource Specialist and Administrative designee in Southern California. I served as a language arts mentor, special education technology specialist, and member of the leadership coalition for Professional Learning Communities. I have also had several years of teaching at the middle and high school level, in both general and special education including locally in Santa Rosa.
I am Bi-lingual and Bi-cultural and excited to be working with our diverse population of English speaking students and English Language Learners. I support the faculty at Kawana Springs in utilizing best teaching practices in critical thinking, technology integration and collaborative learning to ensure that all students are encouraged and supported to develop and reach their academic goals. I am dedicated to maintaining a school climate and culture that fosters continuous support for both student and teacher growth. I believe the best school culture cares about the whole person- mind, body, character and involves reciprocal service between school and community.
