Air Quality/Calidad del aire
We will use the Air Quality Index measured at fire.airnow.gov and follow the Sonoma County Guidelines as provided to us by the Sonoma County Office of Education.
It is our current understanding that, at the moderate smoke level (yellow), it would be acceptable to keep the windows open. However, for schools with strong HVAC air filtration systems and/or classroom-based air purifiers (which are effective for both smoke and COVID), closing windows is acceptable and may be the safest option.
If we have a localized reading of unhealthy air quality on fire.airnow.gov (orange or above), or if students are exhibiting symptoms of distress, we will consider closing our windows or taking other mitigation measures. If air quality is in the red (unhealthy) or purple (very unhealthy), windows should definitely be closed.
We will monitor our local air quality often throughout the day and adjust our activities accordingly. We want to insure you that our air purifiers and air conditioning fans are in place.
Vamos a usar el Índice de Calidad de Aire la cual se mide a fire.airnow.gov y seguir las Directivas del Condado de Sonoma (Sonoma County Guidelines) según se proporciona a nosotros por la Oficina de Educación del Condado de Sonoma (SCOE).
Es nuestro entendimiento que, al nivel de humo moderado (amarillo), sería aceptable de mantener las ventanas abiertas. nuestras ventanas o tomar medidas de mitigación. Si la calidad de aire es de color rojo (no saludable) o morado (muy insaludable), las ventanas definitivamente deben estar cerradas.Vamos a supervisar nuestra calidad de aire local durante el día y ajustaremos nuestras actividades como corresponden. Queremos asegurarles a Uds. que nuestros purificadores de aire y la ventilación de aire acondicionado estén listos para usarse.

❖Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC)
➢Minimum Efficiency Reporting Values (MERV 13) filters in all classrooms
➢Ability to filter at all times by setting fan in ON position.
❖Air Purification Systems
➢High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) Filters in all student and staff occupied areas.
➢In independent lab test: Removed over 99% of virus particles from a 1,050 Cubic Feet test chamber within 20 minutes.
